Youth Ministry
1 Timothy 4: 11-14
Command and teach these
things. Don't let anyone look down on you because you
are young, but set an example for the believers in
speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of
Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect
your gift, which was given you through a prophetic
message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.

At Greater New
Friendship Baptist Church, you will find a youth ministry
biblically based. Our philosophy for our youth is taken from
I Timothy 4:11-16. Their desire is not to entertain, but be
as equip soldiers of the cross that will carry the torch for
the next generation. Below you will find the purpose for
which our youth ministry exist.

The
Apostle Paul writing to young Timothy, exhorts him in five
areas that ought to be evident in his youth. If they were
important enough for Timothy, surely we can benefit from
them as well. Here are the goals for each of our youth. |
I. Example -
vs. 12
II. Exhort - vs. 13
III. Exercise his gifts - vs. 14
IV. Encourage others - vs. 15
V. Evangelize the lost - vs. 16
